Q
My parents are 71 and 63 years of age and both are on medication and have regular medical checkups and blood tests in India. They are visiting the US - can I continue the same medical checkups and lab tests in US?
A

Thank you for contacting us. We would be happy to answer your questions.

No matter what policy you purchase, none of them would cover for regular testing, check-ups, or medication refills for a condition your parents already have. It is advised that they bring enough medication to last their entire stay in the US to avoid paying out-of-pocket for additional prescriptions.

There are no plans that will cover for a sudden, unexpected reocurrence for people 70 and over with a chronic condition (I am making this assumption because they are still taking medication and getting tested for their condition).

For your parent who is 63, there is one plan available that will cover for an acute onset of pre-existing conditions even if it is chronic. Liaison Continent A is the only plan that offers this coverage. Please see plan details, here.

Hope this helps. Please email us at support@visitorscoverage.com if you have any additional questions.
