Patriot Multi Trip (A.M. Best Rating: A) is built for travelers who take multiple international trips several times a year and want comprehensive coverage with a single annual enrollment. It provides coverage for eligible illnesses and injuries during the covered trip. A single yearly policy covers unlimited trips abroad, each up to the plan's per-trip length limit, so you never have to buy separate coverage for every departure. Benefits include hospitalization, doctor visits, prescriptions, emergency medical evacuation, and repatriation, paid up to the policy maximum, and 24/7 travel assistance included. Coverage is available up to 3 years, with 30-day, 60-day, or 90-day coverage options.

Patriot Multi Trip is built for business travelers, consultants, and globetrotting families who cross borders several times a year and want always-on protection at a predictable annual price. Enroll once and travel covered all year long.

While in the U.S., after the deductible is satisfied within the United Healthcare PPO network, the plan will pay 100% of eligible medical expenses, up to the selected policy maximum. Outside of the PPO network, the plan will pay 80% of the first $5,000 in eligible medical expenses, then 100% thereafter, up to the selected policy maximum.

Patriot Multi Trip does not cover pre-existing conditions. Patriot Multi Trip includes acute onset coverage of pre-existing conditions up to $5,000.

The Adventure Sports Rider is available for those up to the age of 65. The following activities are covered to the lifetime maximum amounts listed below as long as they are engaged solely for leisure, recreation, or entertainment purposes:any Illness or Injury sustained while taking part in activities designated as Adventure Sports, which are limited to the following: abseiling; BMX; bobsledding; bungee jumping; canyoning; caving; hot air ballooning; jungle zip lining; parachuting; paragliding; parascending; rappelling; skydiving; spelunking; whitewater kayaking or whitewater rafting in water less than Class V difficulty; wildlife safaris; and windsurfing.

Telehealth provides access to a national network of board-certified doctors and pediatrician in the U.S who are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to help diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication (when necessary and available) for many non-emergent medical issues via phone or online video consultations. Telehealth does not replace existing primary care physician relationship, but supplements them as a convenient, affordable alternative for non-emergency medical care.

U.S citizens and non-U.S citizens who are under the age 75 years of age traveling throughout the year can purchase a Patriot Multi-Trip plan. Coverage will be outside of the travelers home country.
A policyholder under the Patriot Multi-Trip plan can travel for increments of 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days depending on what was chosen during the time of enrollment. After the chosen coverage timeframe has passed, the policyholder must return home before traveling again to receive coverage.

Patriot Multi-Trip can cover for COVID-19 and will be treated the same as any other eligible medical condition so long as the virus is contracted after the policy effective date and you have departed from the country of residence. You will need names of the travelers, coverage duration, date(s) of birth, country of residence, citizenships, destination's, home country address, and a valid credit card.
Coverage will be provided in all eligible countries visited with the exception of your Home Country and any restricted countries listed in the policy documentation. Coverage will only be offered within the policy start and end dates. Please note: If any part of your trip includes the United States, please select it as your destination country.
The Patriot Multi-Trip plan is only cancelable prior to the certificate effective date. Premiums are fully earned on the certificate effective date and are nonrefundable thereafter.

You cannot remove one person from the policy if other travelers are included. We recommend letting the current policy lapse with all travelers or canceling and repurchasing for the remaining travelers as per the policy terms.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered by the Patriot Multi-Trip Plan. However, the Patriot Multi-Trip plan covers up to $5,000 for acute onset of pre-existing conditions. An acute onset of a pre-existing condition is defined as: A sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence of a Pre-existing Condition which occurs spontaneously and without advance warning either in the form of Physician recommendations or symptoms. Chronic or congenital conditions or pre-existing conditions that gradually become worse over time will not be considered acute onset. A Pre-existing condition is defined as an Injury, illness, sickness, disease, or other physical, medical, mental, or nervous conditions, disorder or ailment (whether known or unknown) that, with reasonable medical certainty, existed at the time of application or within the 2 years immediately preceding the certificate effective date. Coverage on the travel medical insurance plan will begin on the date of departure (12:01am EST) and once the traveler has left their home country. Coverage areas are anywhere outside one's home country as long as the policy is active. The coverage will end immediately once the traveler has entered back into their home country and at 12:01am EST on the following day after the last date of coverage.
Each insurance company may have their own state-specific regulations on where plans can be sold. These state restrictions only impact residents from those specific states from purchasing these plans. However, if you are traveling to the United States, you will be covered in all 50 states during your active policy period.
Only the primary destination in the application will be listed on the policy documents, but rest assured that all other eligible inputted countries will be covered during the active policy period.
The Teladoc Global rider allows a policyholder to consult with Teladoc Health doctors who are available 24/7/365 to provide quality care for non-emergency health issues through the convenience of phone or video. The rider must be purchased at the time of application.

The Device Protection rider provides coverage for the repair or replacement of your cell phone if it is lost, stolen, or accidentally damaged during your trip for a covered reason. Some of these include:

  • Loss or theft
  • Accidental damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Defective buttons or connectivity ports
  • Broken screen
  • Internal overheating
  • Internal humidity/condensation
  • Defects in materials or workmanship

The Evacuation Plus rider can provide coverage for medical evacuations due to sudden and unexpected medical conditions that are not life-threatening, and where hospitalization is medically necessary. It also includes coverage for evacuations as a result of a natural disaster. The rider is available for individuals up to age 65.

  • Non Life-threatening Medical Evacuation: Up to a maximum of $25,000
  • Natural Disaster Evacuation: Up to a maximum of $5,000
  • The Adventure Sports Rider offered in the Patriot Multi-Trip plan is available for travelers up to the age of 65 and must be purchased at the time of application. The rider is designed to cover a policyholder while participating in the following activities if the activity is solely for leisure, recreation or entertainment purposes:abseiling, BMX; bobsledding; bungee jumping; canyoning; caving; hot air ballooning; jungle zip lining; parachuting; paragliding; parascending; rappelling; skydiving; spelunking; wildlife safaris; and windsurfing.

    All such activities must be carried out in strict accordance with the rules, regulations and guidelines of the applicable Governing Body or Authority of each such activity. PLEASE NOTE: Certain sports activities are never covered, regardless of whether or not you purchase the Adventure Sports Rider. Please note this is only a summary of Adventure Sports and exclusions.     To purchase the Patriot Multi Trip policy, the minimum premium must be at least $10. If your total premium for the duration of coverage is less, you will be charged $10 to meet the requirement.
