Trekker Choice insurance plan is a travel medical insurance plan that provides health coverage and emergency services to individuals traveling multiple times outside of their home country in increments of 70 days within a year period. After the deductible is satisfied, for eligible treatment and services, the plan pays 100% up to the policy maximum.

U.S residents with a primary health insurance plan who are at least 14 days of age and up to 95 years of age traveling throughout the year can purchase a Trekker Choice plan. Coverage will be outside of the traveler's home country.
A policyholder under the Trekker Choice plan can travel for increments of 70 days or less during a 364-day coverage period. After the chosen coverage timeframe has passed, the policyholder must return home before traveling again to receive coverage.
Trekker Choice can cover COVID-19 and will be treated the same as any other eligible medical condition so long as the virus is contracted after the policy effective date and you have departed from the country of residence. You will need the names of the travelers, coverage duration, date(s) of birth, country of residence, citizenships, destinations, home country address, email address, primary plan type, phone number and a valid credit card.
Coverage will be provided in all eligible countries visited except your Home Country and any restricted countries listed in the policy documentation. Coverage will only be offered within the policy start and end dates. Please note: If any part of your trip includes the United States, please select it as your destination country.
The Trekker Choice plan is only cancelable prior to the certificate's effective date. Premiums are fully earned on the certificate effective date and are non-refundable thereafter.
The Trekker Choice is available to those who have primary medical insurance (a Primary Plan) inside the U.S. and will cover medical treatments for pre-existing conditions up to the policy maximum selected.

Coverage on the travel medical insurance plan will begin on the date of departure (12:01am EST) and once the traveler has left their home country. Coverage areas are anywhere outside one's home country as long as the policy is active. The coverage will end immediately once the traveler has entered back into their home country and at 11:59pm EST on the last date of coverage.
Only the primary destination in the application will be listed on the policy documents, but rest assured that all other eligible inputted countries will be covered during the active policy period.
