Patriot Exchange is an A- rated comprehensive Travel Medical insurance plan that provides medical coverage and other covered travel and emergency services for a traveler's temporary stay outside of their home country. The coverage duration available is from 5 days to 365 days. While in the U.S, after the deductible is satisfied within the United Healthcare PPO network, the plan will pay 100% of eligible medical expenses up to the policy maximum. Outside of the PPO network, the plan will pay100% of eligible medical expenses, up to the policy maximum. Learn more about how Patriot Exchange works.

Patriot Exchange can cover COVID-19 like any other covered medical condition if the virus was contracted after the policy effective date.

Eligibility

For international travelers on a J1/J2, M, F, or A visa
For those ages 31 days to 64 years
Coverage for a minimum 30 days up to a maximum of 48 continuous months
Extendable for up to 48 months
If initially purchased for a minimum of one month or more, coverage may be extended

How COVID-19 is Covered Under Patriot Exchange

COVID-19 Medical Expenses

Medical treatment and services related to COVID-19 can be covered in the event that the virus was contracted after the policy effective date.

COVID-19 Testing

Testing can be covered if ordered by the attending physician for diagnostic purposes if symptoms occur after the policy effective date.

COVID-19 Vaccination/Booster

COVID-19 vaccination/booster is not covered under the policy.

Quarantine Benefit

Emergency Medical Evacuation

Emergency Medical Evacuation for COVID-19 treatment can be covered if the virus is contracted after the policy effective date.
