Q
Hello customer support, My mother, who is 82 years old, will be visiting and staying with me in the USA for 3 months. She suffers from dementia. Do I need a power of attorney to take her to the doctor and get medical help for her in California? Also, what is the best insurance plan for her? I need good, comprehensive coverage. Please let me know. Thank you!

Visitor medical polices provide coverage for any new medical conditions and travel-related emergencies as defined in each individual policy. Travel medical insurance policies typically do not cover treatment of pre-existing conditions, routine medical check-ups, or preventative care. While the policy does not cover pre-existing conditions, it may cover any other unexpected medical situations as per the policy's terms.
