Hi My father is over 70 and has diabetics so can he get coverage for his stay in USA.

Your father can definitely get coverage for any new sicknesses or injuries that occur during his stay in the US. For coverage for any new sicknesses or injuries, we recommend Atlas America: http://www.visitorscoverage.com/atlas-america-insurance/ Unfortunately, there is no coverage available for pre-existing conditions for someone who is 70 years old and with a chronic pre-existing condition like diabetes. He should bring all necessary medications with him to the US to avoid paying out-of-pocket for diabetes-related expenses. An option we have that offers some relief of diabetes-related costs is called the Careington Total Health Savings Plan that acts as a discount card: http://www.visitorscoverage.com/careington-discount-plans/ Hope this helps. Have A Question About Travel Insurance ?Ask A Question
Hi, My father is 73 years old, a diabetic and had a heart attack in September 2016. He has made a great recovery and is now fit and ready to come visit us in New York, with my mum (70, no pre-existing conditions). But I'm having trouble finding travel insurance that would cover pre-existing conditions. I did find one plan but it only covers acute onset of pre-existing conditions up to USD20,000. I'm worried this will not be enough for any emergency situation, particularly since I don't know what kind of ailments could be interpreted as falling within the pre-existing conditions bracket. Can you help? They would like to travel around November 26 if possible. Or in early December. The trip would last about 28 days. Thanks very much and kind regards, Ravina
