The policy can become effective as early as the day after you purchase it. We recommend that you purchase your policy at least 24 hours before your departure date to allow time for processing.
Have A Question About Travel Insurance ?Ask A Question
My mother-in-law lives in South Africa and would like to spend 6 months with us in the US. She has high blood pressure, a-fib, and hypothyroidism. While she is here, she will need monthly doctor visits and lab draws to ensure her Coumadin dose is correct. She is stable and well-controlled. If she is in the US and has a sudden, new onset of a-fib and angina and needs to go to the ER, is this care covered? Do any of the plans cover the monthly doctor appointments? Thanks for your help!!
