I have the Patriot America insurance for my mother-in-law which has a max limit at $50,000. She had to have an emergency surgery and the hospital is not releasing her immediately. Our bills have exceeded the policy maximum and I am wondering if we have the option to buy extended coverage to cover the remaining balance over $50,000, or if we have to pay for it out-of-pocket?
