It is extremely unlikely that you will be in contact with anyone with Ebola when visiting the US. There were only a few cases reported during the outbreak in 2014 and none since then, so the risk of contracting Ebola while in the US is very low. Areas to Avoid: The CDC urged people during the 2014 outbreak to avoid non-essential travel to Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone because of unprecedented outbreak of Ebola. Outbreaks have also been reported in Ghana, Nigeria and the Congo in recent years. Though the likelihood of contracting Ebola is very low, you would be covered up to your policy maximum as long as you did not purposefully ignore advisories and visit the countries where outbreaks have occurred.
