The plans that we offer are short term travel medical plans. Some of these plans like Inbound ImmigrantPatriot America, Patriot America Plus, and Patriot Platinum are available for Green Card holders. You can also view and compare all applicable policies here: http://www.visitorscoverage.com/green-card-health-insurance/plans/   As short term travel plans, these do not fulfill the ACA/PPCA (ObamaCare) insurance requirements for people living here on a long term permanent basis. For her initial stay in the U.S. as a green card holder, she can use one of the plans mentioned above as a short term solution, and look for more appropriate long term plans after living in the U.S. permanently for 6 months or so. The domestic healthcare plan marketplace website is healthcare.gov. You can also inquire about domestic healthcare plans from your Local Social Security Administration office.   The best policy that we recommend for green card holders awaiting eligibility for domestic healthcare plans is Patriot America Plus here: https://www.visitorscoverage.com/visitor-insurance/patriotamericaplus/   After the deductible, this plan pays 90% for the first $5,000 and 100% after that up to the policy maximum (in-network). Out of network the plan covers for 80% for first $5000 and 100% thereafter up to the policy maximum.   You can choose your deductible in the plan application. When choosing a deductible of $0, you are minimizing your out-of-pocket expense if you were to ever use the insurance.

This plan has to be purchased for a minimum of a full month in order to be renewed.

You can find more information about the plan in the brochure here: http://www.visitorscoverage.com/brochure/patriot-america-plus-insurance-brochure.pdf   You can also view the Description of Coverage here: http://www.visitorscoverage.com/policydoc/patriot-america-plus-insurance-policy-document.pdf

You will need her passport number and date of birth to purchase the plan.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact us if you need more information.
