Which insurance covers physical therapy

anil kumar, 27 Nov 2017

If something new starts after the policy becomes effective and the attending physician recommends physical therapy, then most plans would provide coverage for it however, physical therapy for conditions that existed prior to purchasing a policy, will not be covered.

All travel medical insurance plans provide coverage for any new and unexpected illnesses or injuries that occur after the policy becomes effective. These do not cover for any pre-existing conditions, routine, or preventive care. It is always up to the attending physician to determine if a particular medical situation is related to a pre-existing condition or not.
