After the deductible is satisfied, the plan pays 80% for the first $5,000 and then 100% thereafter towards eligible covered expenses for each sickness or injury. Q1: Who is eligible to buy Safe Travels USA Trip Protection plans?
Any non-U.S. citizens traveling in which at least one of the destination countries is the U.S.

Q2: Which doctor or hospital can I go to?
You can go to any doctor of hospital of your choice. If you would like to go in the PPO network, You can search for doctor or hospital in this Provider Directory.

Q3: When will I receive my ID card?
After you purchase the plan, you will receive the plan on-line receipt and virtual ID card in your email. You can take a print out of the on-line receipt/virtual ID card and use it as proof of insurance, when visiting the doc/hospital.

Q4: How can I get a refund of premium?
If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may return your plan within 10-day "free-look" period, after that this plan is non-refundable.

Q5: What does Safe Travel Trip Cancellation and Interruption cover?
Safe Travel Trip Cancellation and Interruption insurance policy covers the nonrefundable financial penalties or losses you incur when you cancel a prepaid tour or flight for an acceptable reason, such as:

  1. You, your travel partner, or a family member cannot travel because of sickness, death, layoff, or a list of other acceptable reasons
  2. Your tour company or airline goes out of business or can't perform as promised
  3. A family member at home gets sick
  4. You miss a flight or need an emergency flight for a reason outside your control (such as a car accident, inclement weather, or a strike).

Q7: What information do I need to purchase this plan?

Name(s), date of birth, and passport number of the visitor(s).

Q8: I want to purchase insurance for more then one visitor. Should I purchase two separate policies for them or have a combined policy?

The benefits and cost does not differ if you buy individually or combined policies. If the visitors have different travel plans (might be coming together but leaving on different dates, etc.) it is recommended to buy separate policies.

Having separate policies gives your more flexibility in renewals and cancellations.

Q9: I am traveling and I am pregnant. Will your plan cover me?

Yes. We cover emergency medical treatment for pregnancy up to $1,000 on the Safe Travels USA Trip Protection Insurance.
