When you purchase a Trip Insurance policy, you'll need to make sure all prepaid nonrefundable trip costs are insured. If you have additional nonrefundable trip costs after the policy is purchased and before your scheduled departure date, you can request for the insurance company to update the total nonrefundable costs. There may be an increase to the premium which the policyholder will be responsible for paying the difference.
