Are obstetrician and gynecologist services covered by travel insurance?

Answer provided by a licensed Insurance advisorLicensed U.S. Insurance Specialist at VisitorsCoverage
The plans that we offer are all short-term plans. These cover only for unexpected new illness or injury that begins after the policy goes into effect. These would not cover for preventive care, pre-existing conditions, dental, vision, or pregnancy and related situations. If a new ailment begins while traveling that requires an Ob/gyn consultation, the plans would cover for that. However, they would not cover for regular preventive tests or any conditions that existed before the policy began.
