If I test positive for Covid-19 before my trip, am I covered?

COVID-19 coverage on a Travel Medical plan will only be covered if the virus was contracted after the policy effective date and once the policyholder has departed the home country.

On an active Trip Insurance plan, if the virus was contracted before departing for the trip and the policyholder was deemed unfit to travel by an attending physician, the trip cancellation benefit to recoup nonrefundable trip cost may be covered under the policy.
