How Visitors Protect Insurance Works?
The Visitors Protect is a percentage based comprehensive plan. The plan covers for any unexpected sickness or injury that starts after the policy becomes effective.
Which Doctor to Visit
You can go to any doctor or hospital of your choice. However, it is better to go to a doctor within the PPO network to get better provider rates and coverage. The Visitors Protect participates in the United Healthcare PPO network. To search for nearby providers in your area visit Visitors Protect Insurance Providers.
Within PPO Network in USA
After the deductible is satisfied, the Visitors Protect plan will cover 75% up to policy maximum for all eligible medical expenses and services. Any amount above the policy maximum is the insured person's responsibility.
Outside of PPO Network
After the deductible is satisfied, the Visitors Protect plan will cover 60% up to policy maximum for all eligible medical expenses for all covered services. Any amount above the policy maximum is the insured person's responsibility.
How the Deductible Works
The deductible is the first amount of the covered bill that is the insured persons responsibility, before the insurance starts paying. The deductible for the Visitors Protect plan is one time in the policy period. The Plan is available for 90 days to 365 days duration.
