Patriot Platinum insurance is a travel medical insurance plan that provides medical insurance coverage and emergency services to individuals and families traveling outside their home country. After the deductible is satisfied, for treatments within the PPO network, the plan pays 100% up to the policy maximum. Outside the PPO network, the plan pays 90% for the first $5,000 and 100% thereafter. Outside the USA, the plan pays 100% after deductible.

Q1: What information do I need to purchase this plan? Name(s), date of birth, and passport number of the visitor(s). |

Q2: When will I receive my ID card? The print out of the on-line buying receipt/virtual ID card is the proof of insurance and can be used as an ID card. While filling out the online application, if you select online fulfillment you will not receive anything in snail mail but in your email. If you select the snail mail piton then you won't receive your ID card in email but to your mailing address within 5-10 business days. Q3. What's the Rx Discount Card that comes with this plan? This is a discount savings program available to every certificate holder of the Patriot travel plans. This program allows card members to purchase prescriptions at one of over 35,000 participating pharmacies in the U.S. and receive the lower of 1) Universal Rx contract price or 2) the pharmacy regular retail price. This discount program is not insurance coverage. It is purely a discount program to purchasers of the Patriot travel plans. Q4. What's the Return Rider? Should I get it? Patriot America Insurance automatically covers the flight from home country to the U.S. but if you want the trip back to home country covered as well then you should purchase the Return Rider. This rider is an additional cost and you'll be able to get a quote for it and select it in the application. |

Q9: When I buy this plan, do I need to make the full payment at once or do I have the option of paying it on a monthly basis? Based on the desired coverage length you have selected, you have to make the full payment at once. Since this plan is renewable you can renew it anytime you would like to before the policy expires. There is a renewable fee of $5 that associated with the renewal. |
