It is important to note that as short-term travel plans, these do NOT fulfill the ACA/PPCA (Obamacare) insurance requirements for people living in the US on a long-term, permanent basis. Green card holders can use one of the aforementioned plans as a short-term solution and look for more appropriate long-term plans after living in the U.S. permanently for 6 months or more. You can search for a domestic healthcare plan at healthcare.gov. You can also inquire about domestic healthcare plans from your Local Social Security Administration office.
