Atlas Essential International is an A rated comprehensive Travel Medical insurance plan that provides medical coverage and other covered travel and emergency services for a traveler's temporary stay outside of their home country. The coverage duration is available from 5 days to 365 days. After the deductible is satisfied, the plan will pay 100% of the URC for eligible medical expenses up to the policy maximum. Pre-existing Conditions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered under Travel Medical plans unless classified as an acute onset of pre-existing condition by a physician and the insurer. Here are some common pre-existing conditions:

Yes, you can cancel and get a refund for the Atlas Essential International, if you need to go back earlier than planned. The following rules apply:
Pre-existing conditions and acute onset of pre-existing conditions are not covered by the Atlas Essential America plan. A Pre-existing condition is defined as an Injury, illness, sickness, disease, or other physical, medical, mental, or nervous conditions, disorder or ailment (whether known or unknown) that, with reasonable medical certainty, existed at the time of application or within the 2 years immediately preceding the certificate effective date. Please check the Description of Coverage for more information about what is considered a pre-existing condition.
Based on the desired coverage length you have selected, the full payment is due upfront.
Since the Atlas Essential International plan is renewable, you can renew it anytime you would like to before the policy expires. There is a $5 fee associated with the renewal.
Using the Air Doctor platform, travelers can easily locate nearby doctors, book appointments, and choose between in-person or video consultations. Payments are handled directly, eliminating the need to pay upfront or file claims for reimbursement, making healthcare access abroad seamless and stress-free. This applies to policies purchased on or after January 15, 2025. Please review your plan's specific documents for any limits or exclusions.

COVID-19 Medical Expenses
Medical treatment and services related to COVID-19 can be covered in the event that the virus was contracted after the policy effective date.
COVID-19 Testing
Testing can be covered if ordered by the attending physician for diagnostic purposes if symptoms occur after the policy effective date.

COVID-19 vaccination/booster is not covered under the policy.
