Visitor insurance plans available on this website are cancelable, however the refund and cancellation procedure and policy is different for each company. While some companies allow you to cancel the policy before its start date, others allow you to cancel the policy and get the refund on prorate basis.
How to Cancel
Send an email to support@visitorscoverage.com with complete details including policy number, date of purchase, and the reason for plan cancellation. Upon receipt of this information we will initiate the policy cancellation with the insurance company. Please allow 7-10 business days to process the cancellation.
Following is the information about cancellation and refund policies for different insurance companies and plans:
Seven Corners (Formerly SRI)
All plans offered by Seven Corners like Inbound USA, Travelers Liberty, Liaison International, Liaison Continent, Liaison Majestic, Inbound Immigrant, and Inbound Hospital, are cancelable.
- A full refund can be considered if requested before the policy effective date (start date).
- Prorated refund is possible for any cancellation request received after policy effective date. A cancellation fee of $25 is applicable.
Travel Insurance Services (TIS)
All plans offered by TIS like Visit-USA, Study USA, and World-Med insurance plans, can be cancelled only before the plan effective date. After the effective date the premium cannot be refunded. There is a $20 cancellation fee applied for cancellation requests.
Global Underwriters (GU)
All plans offered by GU like Diplomat America insurance plans can be cancelled only before the plan effective date (start date). After the effective date the premium cannot be refunded. There is $25 cancellation fee applied for cancellation requests.
MultiNational Underwriters (MNU)
All plans offered by MNU like Atlas America insurance plan, can be cancelled only if cancelled before the effective date and a full premium refund may be considered.
If canceled after effective date (only if you have not used the insurance or and have no claim) then:
- $25 cancellation fee will be applicable.
- Unused portion of the premium will be refunded.
