VisitorSecure Insurance is limited coverage plan and does not participate in any PPO Network. You can go to any doctor, hospital or provider of your choice. Depending on the billing practice of the service provider, they may directly bill to the insurance company or you can pay and file for a claim.
What does this mean for the policyholder?
The VisitorSecure does not have a designated PPO network. You can go to any doctor or hospital of your choice. The billing process and the amount charged would be the providers' discretion. The Providers may or may not apply the discounted PPO rates. The insurance would pay only the given fixed amount, based on the schedule of benefits, irrespective of how much the providers charge. Also, the providers may or may not directly bill the insurance company. You can search for the doctors in your area here: Find a Doctor The Claim process would be mandatory, like any other travel insurance policy. Find out about the Claim process here: Claim Process
There is no PPO network outside the United States, but you may use the WorldTrips International Provider Search Engine, Equian, to locate a healthcare provider outside the U.S. You may either visit one of the listed providers on the Provider Search Engine or you may visit any doctor or hospital of your choice, and then pay accordingly and file a claim with the insurance company for reimbursement.
