AD&D coverage, or Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage, is the insurance benefit paid out if one or more of the following occur: - an accident results in death, or an accident causes loss of hands, feet, eyesight, speech, hearing, etc. Review the benefit details for a particular insurance policy for details of limits. In the event of the death of the insured person, the AD&D insurance beneficiary is the assigned person who will receive the benefits as stated in the policy. It is recommended to assign a beneficiary who is not accompanying the policyholder while he/she is traveling.
