Depending on your insurance policy, reduced out-of-pocket expenses may be an option if you choose a medical provider within your plan's PPO network. PPO networks also give travelers an easier way to find recommended medical doctors and facilities within the country they're visiting.

Seven Corners Insurance

Seven Corners maintains a network of healthcare providers around the world, both inside and outside the United States. The UnitedHealthcare PPO is the network used by Seven Corners in the United States, and while there is no PPO network outside the US, Seven Corners policyholders have access to Wellabroad.com, which they can use to easily local an international medical provider.

WorldTrips Medical Insurance Services

WorldTrips uses the UnitedHealthcare Network inside the US and the Equian International Provider Network outside the US. Depending on your WorldTrips plan, visiting a provider within the US from the UnitedHealthcare Network may reduce your out-of-pocket expenses as per the plan benefits. While outside the US, selecting a provider within the Equian International network is not necessary to take advantage of plan benefits, but helps locate a medical provider.

International Medical Group (IMG) Insurance

IMG provides policyholders with an extensive network of healthcare providers around the word. Through IMG, your plan's PPO network in the US is UnitedHealthcare or First Health depending on the plan purchased . Outside the U.S., there's no PPO network, but you can search the IMG International Provider Access database to easily locate a doctor, hospital, or other medical provider abroad.

Travel Insurance Services

Certain TIS insurance policies use the United Healthcare network. If your TIS plan has a PPO network, you should visit a healthcare provider within that network to reduce your out-of-pocket expenses as per the plan benefits. If your TIS plan does not have a PPO network, simply visit any medical provider of your choice and file a claim for reimbursement later.
