Does visitors insurance for USA cover trips to other countries?

Updated Nov 27, 2024
Answer provided by a licensed Insurance advisorLicensed U.S. Insurance Specialist at VisitorsCoverage
Yes, most travel insurance plans we offer provide coverage outside the insured’s home country, which can include multiple eligible destinations. To ensure proper coverage, simply list the first country you’ll visit (e.g., the United States) as your “destination country” when applying. All other countries you visit will typically be covered as long as they are not restricted destinations under the policy.

For example, if you’re a non-U.S. citizen traveling to the U.S. and also visiting several other countries, our plans can provide coverage in all those locations, except for your home country. A great option for non-U.S. citizens traveling to the U.S. and other destinations is the Atlas America plan. For U.S. citizens traveling outside the U.S., the Atlas International plan is a good choice.
