Geo Group Insurance is an employer-sponsored group health insurance plan for expats, business travelers, employees or global citizens of two or more working outside of their home country.
Geo Group Insurance is a worldwide health coverage plan offered by employees by their employer during their international job assignments. Geo Group insurance is similar to a domestic insurance plan and offers coverage for preventative care, maternity and newborn care, as well as waivers for pre-existing conditions coverage for new employees with proof of prior coverage.
Travelers on the Geo Group Insurance plan do not need to be from the same country of residence.
Travelers on the Geo Group Travel plan do not need to be traveling to the same destination country.
Travelers on the Geo Group Travel plan do not need to have the same dates of coverage. The group travelers can travel at different times so long as the policy is active.
The coverage for the group will not be changed or impacted if other travelers within the group decide to cancel their coverage.
The Geo Group Travel plan can cover for COVID-19 and will be treated the same as any other eligible medical condition so long as the virus is contracted after the policy effective date and you have departed from the country of residence. You will need names of the travelers, coverage duration, date(s) of birth, country of residence, citizenships, destination's, home country address, and a valid credit card.
The Geo Group Travel plan offers different types of coverage options, Worldwide Coverage including USA or Worldwide Coverage excluding the USA. Coverage will only be offered within the policy start and end dates. Please note: If any part of your trip includes the United States, please select it as your destination country.
An email confirmation will be sent after purchase to the main applicant or person who completed the application . The email will include links and instructions on how to access and print out your ID card.
You can go to any doctor or hospital of your choice and be covered 100% for eligible medical expenses with the PPO network in the USA or 100% coverage during international, excluding the USA coverage.
The Geo Group Travel plan does offer a pre-existing condition waiver for new employees who can show proof of prior coverage. If the waiver requirements are not met, the plan does not cover any treatment or services related to an existing condition prior to the coverage start date.
Coverage on the travel medical insurance plan will begin on the date of departure (12:01am EST) and once the traveler has left their home country. Coverage areas are anywhere outside one's home country as long as the policy is active. The coverage will end immediately once the traveler has entered back into their home country and at 12:01am EST on the day after the last date of coverage.
Each insurance company may have their own state-specific regulations on where plans can be sold. These state restrictions only impact residents from those specific states from purchasing these plans. However, if you are traveling to the United States, you will be covered in all 50 states during your active policy period.

You cannot remove one person from the policy if other travelers are included. We recommend letting the current policy lapse with all travelers or canceling and repurchasing for the remaining travelers as per the policy terms.
