Q1: Who is eligible for the SafeCruise Trip Plan? US Residents who live in the US are covered by this plan, for traveling both within the US, as well as internationally outside the US. | |
Q2: What should be included in the trip cost? The trip cost should include any non-refundable payments made related to the trip. In case of unforeseen cancellation of the trip, these costs would be lost. Examples of these are costs of airline tickets, hotel reservations, tour reservations, etc. | |
Q3: Can I renew the plan if I extend my trip? Trip plans are not renewable. In case of change of plans, you would need to purchase a new plan. | |
Q4: Is the plan cancelable? You can cancel the plan and get a full refund back, within 10 days of the look-up period. After 10 days of purchase, the plan is not cancelable or refundable. | |
Q5: Are pre-existing conditions covered by the plan? Pre-existing condition coverage is available if purchased within 24 hours of or before final trip payment (if you are not disabled from travel when plan cost is paid) | |

Q8: What is the difference between Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption? Trip cancellation benefits become available if the trip is cancelled before the journey begins (before the start date of the policy). Trip interruption benefits are available after the journey begins. If for some documented covered reason, the trip is cancelled after the journey starts, the insured person has to go back to the home country. |
