Vietnam is a country rich in arts and culture from literature, music, and theater to visual arts & history. There are street markets and museums filled with a wide variety of artifacts and culture, opportunities to visit the cities and smaller communities and interact with the locals; there is much to discover.
Before you begin your journey, youâll want to plan for any unforeseen events or issues. This is where travel insurance comes in.
Travel Insurance is Mandatory
To enter Vietnam, you must show evidence of health or travel insurance that covers COVID-related medical care up to a minimum of US$ 30,000 for the duration of your visit. Failure to produce this may result in being refused entry to the country.
VisitorsCoverage can help determine the best coverage options once you have your travel plans, length of stay, and the ages of all travelers. You can compare plans side by side with our comparison tool. We have international travel medical insurance for non-U.S. residents and plans with emergency medical evacuation, comprehensive insurance, and more. We also have plans that cover the Covid-19 requirements.
For American Residents traveling from the U.S., should you need to cancel, postpone or cut short your original travel plans for any reason, including COVID-19-related issues, trip insurance with Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) insurance may be a better option.
COVID-19 in the Vietnam
Check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for current COVID-19 conditions and requirements. Do not travel if you test positive for Covid, and make sure your vaccinations are up to date.
